چکیده
Abstract Background To investigate the relationship between position of bilateral STN-DBS location active contacts and clinical efficacy on motor symptoms in Parkinson’s disease (PD) patients. Methods Retrospectively analyze data 57 patients with PD who underwent from March 2018 to December 2018. Unified Disease Rating Scale-Part III (UPDRS-III) score, levodopa equivalent day dose (LEDD), Quality Life Scale (PDQ-39) before operation within 6 months after operation, determine activated volume tissue (VTA) Montreal Neurological Institute (MNI) space, their correlation improvement rate (UPDRS-III score rate). Results After follow up, UPDRS-III scores (Med-off) were improved by 55.4 ± 18.9% ( P <0.001) compared that operation. The PDQ-39 [(47.4 23.2)%, < 0.001)] reduction LEDD [(40.1 24.3)%, 0.01)] at postoperation positively correlated (Med-off)(PDQ-39: r = 0.461, <0.001; LEDD: 0.354, 0.007), Z-axis coordinate contact MNI space (left side: 0.349, 0.008;right 0.369, 0.005). In there was no VTA STN subregion, associative subregion limbic electrode (all > 0.05). At surgery, difference different subgroups(<25, 25 50%, and>50%) statistically significant 0.030; right 0.024). groups Conclusion can improve quality life. closer stimulation is dorsolateral sensorimotor area, higher DBS

Electrode Position and Current Amplitude Modulate Impulsivity after Subthalamic Stimulation in Parkinsons Disease—A Computational Study
Background: Subthalamic Nucleus Deep Brain Stimulation (STN-DBS) is highly effective in alleviating motor symptoms of Parkinson's disease (PD) which are not optimally controlled by dopamine replacement therapy. Clinical studies and reports suggest that STN-DBS may result in increased impulsivity and de novo impulse control disorders (ICD). Objective/Hypothesis: We aimed to compare performance o...

Relationship of the P Angle with Stereotactic Arc in Intraoperative Outcome of Patients with Parkinson’s Disease Undergoing Deep Brain Stimulation
Background & Aim: DBS (deep brain stimulation) is a new and successful technique in treatment of symptoms of Parkinsonism especially after drug resistance. Research in this field is mostly designed for evolution of this technique. The present study aimed at evaluating the relationship between the angle formed in midsagittal and STN (sub-thalamic nucleus) axis line and recording l...
